Positions currently open at Colome School District

Special Education Teacher:  The Colome School District is seeking applications for a middle/high school Special Education teacher for a case load of approximately 12-15 middle/high school students. Applicant should be certified with the South Dakota Department of Education. Position is full-time for the 2025-26 school year. Position is eligible for a hiring stipend. 

Maintenance Position: The Colome School District is seeking a maintenance staff member. The position will involve helping with building and grounds maintenance including lining up major repairs, snow removal, mowing, misc. repairs, etc. Work hours are flexible and pay will depend on experience. Hours are flexible, and wage will depend on experience but minimum starting wage is $20/hour. 

Bus Drivers:  The Colome School is looking for all different areas - mini bus routes, CDL routes, and activity CDL drivers.  Taking a route does not mean you have to commit to both morning and afternoon routes if you are unable. Morning routes are done by 8:00 and most routes are done in 60 minutes or less.   

Substitutes: The Colome School is looking for people willing to serve as substitutes in all areas. Substitutes work on their own availability and can let us know if there are areas/subjects they are uncomfortable subbing.  Please reach out to Samantha West for more information.
