Positions currently open at Colome School District

Special Education Teacher:  The Colome School District is seeking applications for a middle/high school Special Education teacher for a case load of approximately 12-15 middle/high school students. Applicant should be certified with the South Dakota Department of Education. Position is full-time for the 2025-26 school year. Position is eligible for a hiring stipend. 

After-School Program Coordinator: The Colome School is looking for an after-school program coordinator for the 2025-26 school year. This position will be in charge of managing the after-school program including lining up snacks and activities, working the after-school hours and lining up substitutes when needed, and maintaining paperwork and communication with parents. The hours will be Monday through Thursday from school dismissal until 6:00. 

Bus Drivers:  The Colome School is looking for all different areas - mini bus routes, CDL routes, and activity CDL drivers.  Taking a route does not mean you have to commit to both morning and afternoon routes if you are unable. Morning routes are done by 8:00 and most routes are done in 60 minutes or less.   

Substitutes: The Colome School is looking for people willing to serve as substitutes in all areas. Substitutes work on their own availability and can let us know if there are areas/subjects they are uncomfortable subbing.  Please reach out to Samantha West for more information.
